Would highly recommend Gordy. Been taking my 2002 Chevy here for 6 years and they have always treated me and my car well. Even when rare mistakes happen on their side and I have to return (everyone makes mistakes - even mechanics), Gordy always offers a reasonable compensation of labor and/or parts to make things right. The folks at the service desk are really kind and transparent. They really know cars, and can explain things to you clearly. Prices are always reasonable and they don't try to up-sell you on things you don't need.

I've been taking my cars for service at Gordy for many years and they are always top notch. I recently had to have a tire replaced quickly as I ran over a large screw bolt on the road. Normally I would have taken it to Gordy, but I had to drive to the closest shop I could as my tire was at risk of popping. The shop I had to take it to changed my tire and told me that I needed new brakes pads and rotars as soon as possible in order to avoid major catastrophe. They had me convinced that my brakes were so bad and that if I didn't get them replaced it would be a bad situation. I almost bit the bullet and spent $1000 to get them replaced, but I decided against it. The next day I called Jimmy at Gordy and he said to bring it by for them to look at. I dropped it off and with an hour he called me back and told me my brakes looked fine and had another 50% of life left in them. I'm so grateful for Jimmy's and Gordy's HONESTY. They saved me $1000! I would highly recommend Gordy Tire if you want quality, and honest work done on your vehicle.

Both my and my husband's cars developed a slow leak in one tire. He had been unable to find anyplace to get his tire patched and just kept putting air in it. I guess everyone just wants to sell you a tire nowadays. My neighbor recommended Gordy so we took our cars there immediately. I have taken vehicles to Gordy Tire and Automotive several times and always been satisfied. Everyone I've dealt with there has communicated clearly and with respect, and I have been satisfied with their work. My last visit deserves special mention. I took our old 2002 Camry in with a leaking gas line. While repairing that, they accidentally broke an exterior door handle. This was no surprise, given the history of old Toyota door handles breaking. (I've done it myself.) Gordy told me what happened, told me they already had a new handle on order, and offered to replace it at their cost. Today I offered to pay for the handle if they cover labor, but they insisted on paying for both. I haven't had any complex work done at Gordy yet, but so far I'm impressed with their customer service and satisfied with their work and their fees.

I've been meaning to write about Gordy's for a while because I love them so much. They are truly, truly honest mechanics and they have given me and my wife so much peace of mind when it comes to our cars. Over the past few years, we have taken our cars to Gordy's for a variety of issues. They fix most problems for reasonable prices and they give clear, detailed explanations of what is wrong and what needs to be done. If they can't fix a problem, they will quickly tell you and give good advice about who can fix it. They do have a diagnostic fee for some stuff, but there are times that I've explained an issue and they've sent me on my way without charging me if they can't fix it. Recently, my wife had a tire puncture and she had to take her car to a national chain because it was after normal business hours. They wanted to charge her for a replacement tire, but when she took the car to Gordy's the next day, they plugged the tire in about five minutes. It cost us a fraction of what a new tire would have. I was out of town, so it meant a lot to me that my wife could take her car to a place that we trust where I knew she would get an honest assessment. That level of reassurance is rare with any business, much less a mechanic?s shop. We will be loyal Gordy's customers for life after our many, many wonderful experiences with them.

My husband and I drove to Atlanta to visit friends on a Saturday from our home about 2 hours away. A quick Google search for nearby body shops showed great reviews for Gordy's so we started here. We received top notch customer service--they treated us like customers they had dealt with for years and had an established business relationship with. Perfectly reasonable pricing and amazing turnaround time for a pretty spring Saturday afternoon. We were in and out in under 30 minutes and spent less than $20 on a plugged tire. As an out of town visitor, the experience with Gordy's was truly a best case scenario. Cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you, Gordy Tire!

The only mechanics on Howell Mill who will PLUG and/or patch your tire. The big chains within a 1/2 mile have all confirmed to patching only which is limited to a certain distance from the center of the tread. If something pokes your tire anywhere beyond their limits, the big tire & automotive companies try to sell you tires. So, thank you, Gordy mechanics for plugging our two front tires which both had gotten screws stuck in them. These tires (bought elsewhere) were less than 6 months old?still have excellent tread?so to be told by 5 other big chain mechanics that they could not be repaired & had to be replaced ($300+) was absolutely absurd. I trust the plugs Gordy put in our tires and feel confident in their work. $30 & 30 minutes later I was out the door driving on my two plugged tires. THANK YOU!

Two of my four tires have had problems for a while. One day I noticed they were essentially flat... And I freaked out. Called Gordy around 11:30 am on a weekday and they were able to take me in immediately. Since I hadn't been to Gordy before I was concerned about the service and charge. They inspected the tires and told me one needed replaced and one needed repaired and gave me a quote. When they done, I paid for $119, reasonable! And I was able to get in and out within 45 minutes! Highly recommended. I will take my car back to Gordy for tire work without hesitation!

Had the tow truck drop my car off without me even being at the shop, the guys were nice enough to call and confirm my car got there and was in the shop. An hour later I got a phone call and the problem was diagnosed. Seems like a very honest and affordable spot. I have been here several times both for my car and my girlfriends car. Both times the repairs were done on time for a very affordable amount. My girlfriend had a check engine light come on, which always makes me apprehensive as a repair shop can pretty much claim anything is wrong at that point.
